Welcome to the Kennewick Stake Relief Society Blog. This is a place for sisters to share their experiences when we join together in a spiritual effort as a stake. Our first shared experience was with the reading and studying of the Daughters in My Kingdom book in 2013. We felt directed to provide a way for all sisters to continue to hear and be touched by each others experiences.
We will continue to add to this blog as we feel inspired to and as you make requests. Our hope is to help lift each other in our journey on the covenant path.
With Love,
Kennewick Stake Relief Society Presidency

Class Descriptions

KENNEWICK STAKE RELIEF SOCIETY CONFERENCE

Speaker and Instructor Class Descriptions

GUEST SPEAKERS – “WHERE LOVE IS, THERE GOD IS ALSO”

Speakers, Jay & Tracie Taylor – CHAPEL

Round and round the world continues to go! What is keeping usfrom flying off?

Our sisters, our children, our parents, our spouse.

The links we create by developing loving relationships are the key

to a happy, joy-filled life. Nurturing strong bonds with those we

hold dear is a necessity as the world continues to spin faster.

As one of the gifts we take with us from this life to the next

you can realize your true potential as a Relationship Defender!

#1. "ZION IN THE MIDST OF BABYLON –

FORTIFYING OUR HOMES" - Instructors, Bryant & Heather

Smith – CHAPEL

“Our homes can be places which are a refuge and protection,

as Zion is. We do not need to become as puppets in the hands

of the culture of the place and time. We can be courageous

and can walk in the Lord’s paths and follow His footsteps.”

(David R. Stone) Join us as we discuss practical ways that

we can fortify our homes from the world and create Zion in

our homes and families.”

#2. "GOOD, BETTER, BEST. NEVER LET IT REST –

PRIORITIZING TIME FOR ESSENTIALS" - Instructors, Paul &

Gerene Bodmer – RELIEF SOCIETY ROOM

"Do you sometimes feel your life is a circus, and that as

ringmaster you have lost control? Are the side-shows driving

you to distraction? Let's get together and discuss how to make

life run more smoothly while assuring the important things stay

in the spotlight."

#3. "WHEN YOUR BOW BREAKS - TESTS OF FAITH" –

Instructors – Eldon & Stephenie Monson – PRIMARY ROOM

With all the differences in our lives, we all have at least one challenge in common. We must all deal with adversity." - President Henry B. Eyring

This common thread can be difficult to remember when we often associate with each other in our "Sunday-Best" smiles, clothes and make-up. Life is hard. The pain can feel solitary and overwhelming. How can we find joy and keep our faith despite such trying circumstances?

SERVICE PROJECT – “PROJECT WARMUP”

**ALL SISTERS WILL NEED TO BRING THEIR OWN

SCISSORS to serve in this great effort!!!

Following lunch we will be cutting quilt squares for the

organization Project Warm-Up. With a mission to help those in

need, volunteers log over 1500 hours a month. They serve 77

area schools, and many local organizations that assist

those in need. Last year over 3500 warm items of blankets, gloves,

hats, scarves, and slippers were distributed to the needy.
